As a Software Development Engineering Intern at Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, ID, you will develop a modern, full-stack, web application. You will be responsible for the development of this application from start to finish and gain real experience in all phases of a software development project. You will join a strong team of developers to guide and mentor you throughout the project. You will establish and maintain effective relationships with internal customers, peers, and corporate software developers\project managers.

Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Collecting and refining requirements
  • Research available technology and present design proposals for peer review.
  • Learning new tools in the effort to complete your project.
  • Implement your design in code
  • Develop the training material and documentation of new software.
  • Presenting data to various groups and levels of management.
  • Making suggestions that improve your team's software development processes.

Successful candidates for this position should have:

  • Strong personal drive to learn and produce
  • Proven problem solving abilities.
  • Good communication skills.
  • The ability to work and thrive in a team environment.

Knowledge in several of the following areas is a plus:

  • MSSQL, MySQL or other relational database
  • C#, C++, or Java
  • HTML, Javascript frameworks
  • Neo4J

Education:

  • Undergraduate Major in one of the following education degrees: BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience required.
