We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Nursing to join our team and help create an environment of caring and positive impacts for our incredible residents. Our Director of Nursing is responsible for fostering a dynamic organizational culture and strengthening our programs and impact in one of our premier communities.

Our Director of Nursing:

Supervises all healthcare team members to include hiring, training, evaluating and counseling within established policies and procedures
Plans, implements, and schedules nursing services
Provides intervention to respond to emergencies and problems
Maintains medical charting and required documentation under scope state regulatory guidelines for appropriate licensing and corporate policies
Assesses residents for change in level of care and coordinate billing for that level of care
Administers and coordinate medications of residents
Oversees and/or is responsible for, including delegation to another qualified nurse, infection control within the community
Works closely with residents and families to develop and implement appropriate care plans
Assists residents with medical appointments and coordinate required transportation
Participates in rotation of on-call duty
Follows OSHA compliance and back support procedures
Maintains contact with physicians to facilitate medication orders, refills, supplies or transportation
Follows established risk management procedures for residents and team members
Promotes the Transforming Age Culture of Excellence
Performs other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed!

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Licensed as either a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the state, or the ability to relocate and transfer licensure.
Minimum of two years' experience in Nursing; Experience in Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing.
Understands and follows state regulations for nursing in assisted living communities
The ability to speak, read and comprehend the English language
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong leadership and teaching skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products
